Psychosocial Art Therapy and Naturopathic Doctors

The ASCOL seminars are offered by the Institut für Kunst und Therapie Potsdam – Kunsttherapeutenakademie gem. e.V. IFKTP (Institute for Art and Therapy Potsdam – Academy of Art Therapy).

The Acadamy is officially recognised as a non-profit- and particulary eligible institution in the field of adult education and qualification.

In accordance with the specific purpose of the Academy we offer qualifications schemes in the fields of psychotherapy, health prophylaxes, creative oriented therapies, as well as psychosocial counsel and creativity.

All education, training, and qualification schemes may be vocationally acquired through fulltime or part-time participation during weekend or evening courses. Our seminars and courses are partially recognised as Measures of Vocational Education under the German Educational Leave Act (BildUrG). Education, training, and qualification are designed to focus upon a sustained implementation of the acquired contents within the occupational day-to-day routines.

Besides the large-scale range of ASCOL seminars within the field of counselling and naturopathy, our emphasis is focused upon the professional qualification of Psychsocial Art Therapists (IFKTP)®.

As member-institute of the Deutsche Gesellschaft in Künstlerischen Therapieformen – Berufsverband und Dachverband DGKT (German Society for Artistic Therapist Treatments – Professional Institution and Governing Body) and of the Verband Deutscher Kunsttherapeuten VDKT (Association of German Art Therapists) our curricula pursue the recognised standards of said institutions and associations.

Furthermore, the IFKTP and its education, training and qualification schemes in the field of Psychosocial Art Therapy comply with the commended qualification- and certification policies of the Arbeitskreis Kunst- und Gestaltungstherapie im Verband Freier Psychotherapeuten, Heilpraktiker für Psychotherapie und Psychologischer Berater VFP (The Working Committee of Art- and Expressive-Therapy within the Association of Free Psychotherapists, Naturopathic Doctors for Psychotherapy and Psychological Counsellors).

Psychosocial Art Therapy (IFKT)® is a registered trademark with Deutsches Patent- und Markenamt DPMA (German Patent and Trade Mark Office). The professional designation Psychosocial Art Therapist (IFKTP)® may only become valid after its certification by the Verband Deutscher Kunsttherapeuten VDKT (Association of German Art Therapists). The educational schemes yield nationwide recognised degrees.
